Russian creative expert gives mantras for creative enhancement
Jaipur. The Jaipur Jewellery Show apart from the glitter and glamour is also serving as a useful platform for those who want to learnt about creativity. The seminar on the third day of the show attracted not only designing students but also the manufacturers who turned up to know about creativity and luxury brand building.
Anastassiya Savchenko, the Russian creative expert who was flown by the hosts to address the audience surprised everyone with her presentation. Savchenko, a young creative designer who heads the prestigious advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather's Central Asia operations spoke on the creativity enhancement and how one could use their thoughts for creating an art object.
She showed the students on how the state bird peacock could be presented in its various forms and how one could create a design without using the full body form of a peacock. She showed one of her own creation-a hand fan which had just the peacock's head on one corner of the top of the hand fan. The fan had feathers of the peacock only in a symbolic way.
She asked the students to paint a balloon and all the students sketched the balloon.But she surprised everyone when she showed a slide in which the inverted balloon was heading skyward and trying to hit the cloud. Savchenko's idea was to show to show by mere thinking differently one could create a design that would look unique.
Sacvhenko started her career as a journalist and became a creative person and works for Nutcrackers Creative Agency which is known for their out of the box ideas.
She asked the students to sketch anything that they think gives a glimpse of their creative instincts and after examining the works done by the students for which they were given five minutes,she explained on how to instigate oneself for creativity and how sudden ideas that crop up in the minds of people could become a piece of art..
Tarun Panwar of Pearl Academy of Delhi spoke on luxury brand strategies and explained what luxury is.He said luxury is superlative and not comparative. He said luxury good producers should not respond to rising demands and should always create a vacuum that only they could fill.
He also gave various examples of luxury anti laws where the emphasis was on –dominate the client, make it difficult for the client to buy and don't use any celebrity for product promotions. Panwar suggested that promotion should be different than the normal ones practiced by established groups.
The seminar culminated with an interesting narrative session where two bright creators Yash Agarwal of Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas and Abhishekh Haritwal of Symetree spoke about their experience with the students and also participants of the show. Both Yash and Abhishek taled about the challenges of designs industry and promotion of brand under intense competition.
Both Yash and Abhishek answered question relating the various aspects of the designing and also intellectual property rights (IPR). Abhishek said that because of lack of fear for stealing designs the growth of Jaipur jewellery is checked.He said there should be proper system for registering the design so that it cannot be replicated.
Yash said that one should believe in one's creativity for producing wonders as copying would not take them far.
